10AM and all is quiet
| Turnout is abysmal. I've been at my home precinct all morning and I don't think we've cracked 100 voters yet. Mark Funkhouser showed up to vote. No media. Jim Glover has been outside the poll for about an hour now. I think we've seen about five voters during that time. Jim's assistant asked me if I thought I might squeak in for second place. I told her I was kind of hoping to squeak in for first. I think the turnout will be late because of the cold. I haven't seen most of my friends and supporters show up yet. Maybe the lunch hour will bring a few familiar faces. More later. Get out here and vote! |

post a commentHang in there, bud. We're turning it out for you from Charlie's. Count on a few dozen from midtown!
I voted at 8:00 a.m. and it was a ghost town at my precinct. But add one more vote for you!
What!? Today is election day?
See you at Sharps tonight.
Things were steady at the Armour location at 8:30 this morning...you got two votes from our Household...
Meanwhile, I'm trying to rally voters at the office with my "I Voted" sticker...most don't know who to vote for -- so I'm happy to tell them :)
Voted around 10:30am and saw JGlov standing outside. Was able to walk right in, get a ballot and vote, but there were five or six other people with light but steady traffic. Made some phone calls last night to make sure friends knew where to vote and who to vote for. May have converted a couple of people. Onward!
My biggest surprise was the Gamble had a sign, and brochures, outside our location on 620 Linwood. I didn't even know he was still running - as he didn't think responding to my groups TWO requests for information was important enough to respond to.
JGLov was at our location, where he would have voted, when Brent was there. I hear he's going to work for Costco if he doesn't get elected.
