New Blog: MetroI70
| In a very forward-looking attempt at embracing all forms of communication, the MO Department of Transportation has started a new blog to take input from the public about the future of I-70 through Kansas City. It also has links to presentations and the planning process. Good stuff for all of us public policy wonks! If you don't have time to make their public meeting tomorrow night you might consider dropping a comment or two over there. |

post a commentWhat if our opinion is that they should tear out the entire section and refill it in with 1900s style old warehouse building like it was before they put it in?
I hear ya Brent. Unfortunately that's not one of the choices. At the minimum I'd like to see dedicated bus and carpool lanes WITHOUT adding any concrete.
Mark-
They would HAVE to add lanes for rapid bus and/or HOV because I-70 was mis-built from I-435 into Downtown.
Just look at some of the entrance & exit ramps near Downtown- barely adequate.
Too many 1960-era mistakes...
